PGCPS has some great academic programs that drive our students towards success: Advanced Placement classes are offered in all our high schools, allowing students to take college-level classes and potentially receive college credit for them. Language immersion programs are offered in select schools that increase our students’ cultural adequacy and global competitiveness. Career Academy Programs (CAPs) are offered across our high schools in several disciplines. Additionally, Prince George’s County is home to Maryland’s first middle college program, where students graduate high school with an associate’s degree from PGCC. I will advocate for sustenance and funding for such programs that allow for college and career readiness.
